Pastorek's lighthearted 2008 predictions are more nightmare than dream: the writers' strike leads to makeshift football detective show Law and Order: Friday Night Lights, and a marketing tie-in has Peeps candies invade the island on Lost. Chicago releases a remix album consisting of one song, while writerless late-night hosts have nothing to say on the elections. It's some amusing satire, though largely a list of non sequiturs. However, Pastorek makes at least one believable prediction: Record store shelves still won't see Axl Rose's long-planned solo album, Chinese Democracy.
